How the Swedish technique
Swedish massage uses long, gliding strokes aimed in the direction of blood flow back to the heart to promote overall relaxation. For prenatal clients those strokes are applied with pregnancy-appropriate pressure and positioning so therapists can address backaches, stiff necks, leg cramps, headaches and edema while prioritizing comfort and gentle support.
In a couples session each person receives individualized attention at the same time in the same room so partners share the experience. Therapists focus on relaxing muscle tension and improving comfort rather than deep or aggressive work, adapting strokes and pressure to each client’s needs throughout the 90 MINUTES session.
What to expect during session
Before hands-on work our therapists take a brief intake to identify current discomforts and any pregnancy-related considerations. Treatment is tailored around areas you report, with clear communication about pressure, frequent position adjustments for comfort, and pauses when needed so the session supports relaxation without introducing new strain.
